What is the Sunrise period?
The Sunrise period is a 30-day advance
registration period where eligible registered trademark and service mark holders
may apply for corresponding .info domain names.
Who is eligible to register a domain during the Sunrise period?
Owners of any current trademarks or service marks that have national effect
prior to October 2, 2000 are eligible to register their corresponding domain
names during the Sunrise period. The domain name must be identical to the
textual elements of the trademark or service mark.
When does the Sunrise period start?
We are accepting Sunrise
domain name submissions right now until July 15, 2001*.
Do I have to provide additional information for a Sunrise domain name?
In addition to the regular contact and name server information required for
normal domain name registrations, domains registered during the Sunrise period
must also include the following trademark/service mark information:
What is the registration term for domains registered during the Sunrise
period?
A .info Sunrise domain can be registered for a minimum of five
years and up to a maximum of 10 years. If you pre-register a .info Sunrise
domain name and it is successfully registered, your .info domain will be
automatically registered for five years.
What are the fees for domains registered during the Sunrise period?
The pre-registration fee for a .info Sunrise domain name is $10 USD, plus
$175 USD for the five-year registration term. This $175 fee will be
automatically charged to your credit card if your domain name is selected for
registration. Take advantage of our volume discounts for multiple
pre-registrations of the same Sunrise domain name and increase your chances of
securing the domain name that you want.

Do I have to submit multiple pre-registrations for my Sunrise domain
name?
The more times you submit a trademark advance registration, the
greater the chance that you will successfully register that domain through the
random selection process.
When can I start using a domain registered during the Sunrise period?
Domains registered during the Sunrise period will be placed on hold until
approximately seven days after the registry goes live on, or around, August 16,
2001*. The registry has adopted this policy in order to ensure that all
registrations of .info domains become active at the same time.
What is the dispute resolution process for domains registered during the
Sunrise period?
If another party registers a domain name matching your
trademark or service mark during the Sunrise period, you can assert a challenge
against the registrant during the Sunrise Challenge period, which begins at the
conclusion of the Sunrise period and continues for 120 days.
Dispute resolution services during this period will be provided exclusively by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). Domains registered after this period will use ICANN's Uniform Dispute Resolution Process (UDRP) or the regular court system.
